A few weeks ago I produced some interior design photographs of the SPCA in Newmarket, north of Toronto. It was a beautiful makeover completed by Bennett Design and really transformed the space with lots of colour and fun graphics.

Knoll Toronto Showroom

I had the good fortune recently to be hired to produce some interior photographs of Knoll’s new Toronto showroom. It is a beautiful space filled with iconic furniture, including the Barcelona Chair and Couch by Mies van der Rohe, and it is also the first independent furniture showroom not located in a LEED building to receive a LEED Platinum rating in all of North America. This is one of only three projects in Canada to receive a LEED-CI Platinum rating. So it is really quite an accomplishment, and it was a pleasure to photograph it. The photo below is one of my favourite images from that shoot, and I used it recently in a promotional email. Taboo Food Photography

I recently completed a food shoot for the Taboo Resort in Muskoka. It’s a beautiful, sprawling resort near Gravenhurst and we had a great time doing the food photos on cold winter day. Here’s a few sample images from the shoot.

Coffee and crepes at Richtree Market Restaurant

Here’s some recent images of coffee and crepes from a shoot at one of the Richtree Market Restaurants. Like much of my restaurant photography these images were produced on location with their chefs doing all the food prep and styling, while utilizing a small portable lighting kit. In fact, these images were produced entirely with natural light and a few reflectors. Working like this allows to us to produce quality images in a time efficient manner, saving the client both time and money.

Corned Beef on Rye at Steeles Deli

It’s been awhile since I’ve made a post here. I think I got so burned out with the site overhaul and redesign that I need to take a bit of break. Here’s an image of a very tasty Corned Beef on Rye sandwich from a recent photo shoot at the Steeles Deli. This place gets a lot of great reviews and is hidden in a strip mall at 180 Steeles Avenue just west of Yonge Street. All the customers who were there that day were raving about the place, so it’s definitely worth a visit.

On Assignment at Sotto Sotto

Here’s a few shots from one of my latest assignments at Sotto Sotto. This is a great Italian restaurant in Toronto’s Yorkville district that is a very popular spot for celebs when they are in town, especially during the film festival.
