I have used SlideShowPro products extensively to display and manage images on my site, and I highly recommend them. They are very reasonably priced and with a little knowledge of Flash and web design you can produce some very nice sites. I am not a web designer or programmer, and my skills are pretty rudimentary. So to have my site recognized as one of the best user examples is a real honour. To see the other great sites that where chosen please visit: http://slideshowpro.net/news/

I just finished some subtle modifications to my site design, which I have named “Rosewood 1.0″ after the new wood grained background image. This wood grain design was inspired by some new speakers that I bought recently. I really love the grain and colour of these rosewood speakers, and thought it would add some richness and depth to the background of my web site as well.

So I took a close-up photo of one of the speakers and faded the edges to black. On top that background image I placed a black layer with opacity of about 70 per cent to make text more legible and to isolate the images from the background, while still allowing some of the wood grain to show though. I also made some behind the scenes changes to the image galleries and altered the design a bit. They now run on SlideShowPro with ThumbGrid.

I’m really happy with the new look, and I hope everything is working all right. If any visitors discover any problems with the site, or have any feedback on the design, please feel free to contact me.

The upgrades are now complete and all the main pages have been updated! There are still a few miscellaneous error pages, small tweaks in the design, etc, to finish, but most of the important stuff is done. If you have any comments or find any problems please let me know. Thanks.
